The stage may amplify your voice, but it cannot sustain your soul.

Learn how worship leaders and Christian artists can build a life strong enough to survive the spotlight.

Applause feels good...but it was never meant to hold your identity.

Discover how to lead from a healthy soul instead of living for the next moment on stage.

Your ministry can grow faster than your soul if you’re not careful.

This course will help worship leaders and artists develop the offstage life that protects their calling and longevity in ministry.

About This Course

Applause Is a Terrible Therapist is a course designed specifically for worship leaders, Christian artists, and creative ministry leaders who spend much of their time on a platform but want to build a life that is deeper and healthier than the stage. Ministry in front of people can be deeply meaningful, but it also carries hidden emotional and spiritual pressures that are rarely talked about. This course explores the unique challenges that come with living in visible leadership roles...such as identity tied to performance, emotional highs and lows, burnout, and isolation...and offers practical guidance for developing rhythms of self-care, spiritual grounding, and healthy relationships. Through honest reflection and practical insight, participants will learn how to build an offstage life that strengthens their faith, protects their mental health, and sustains their ministry for the long haul.

What You'll Learn...

• Why applause is neurologically addictive • Why artists experience emotional crashes after big ministry moments • How ministry roles slowly become identity • How to rebuild a private spiritual life • How to develop friendships outside the stage • How healthy artists last decades instead of burning out

This course put words to struggles I’ve felt for years but never knew how to explain. It helped me realize that my identity had quietly become tied to the stage, and it gave me practical ways to rebuild a healthier life offstage.

Applause Is a Terrible Therapist challenged me in the best way. It helped me see how easy it is to depend on affirmation instead of building real spiritual depth.

his course should be required for anyone in worship ministry. It’s thoughtful, relatable, and gave me tools to protect my calling and my mental health for the long run.
Taylor

As a worship pastor, I’ve taken a lot of leadership training, but nothing has addressed the emotional and spiritual weight of leading from a platform like this course does. It was honest, practical, and incredibly helpful.
